OUR STORY

Dr. Jacob Sorber was born in Marquette, Michigan prior to his family moving to the Lansing area. He graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor's degree in Human Biology. Dr. Sorber received his DDS degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. Upon graduating from dental school, he was accepted into a General Practice Residency program with Denver Health Medical Center in Colorado. His residency had a wide scope that included restorative and prosthodontic dentistry, as well as a focus in oral surgery and endodontics. Dr. Sorber practiced as an associate in Denver for five years before returning to Michigan to be closer to his family.

Dr. Sorber believes it is not only important to have a healthy, functioning smile, but you should also be proud of your teeth. His passion to improve smiles and relieve oral pain is what has driven his further education and participation in a number of study clubs and educational programs across the country. He is a member of the Michigan Dental Association, American Dental Association, as well as the Spear Study Institute.

Dr. Sorber and his wife, Mikaela, are thrilled to call Northern Michigan home. They spent many summers in the area enjoying all that the Leelanau Peninsula has to offer. When not in the office, Dr. Sorber and his wife love to fish, boat, ski, hike, and camp. They have a five-year-old Golden Retriever, Breck, who has a passion for frisbee and the water.
